API Trials

1. Can I evaluate an API for free before purchasing a licensing agreement?

You can evaluate a product for 30 days (can be extended to a maximum of 90 days) before purchase, allowing you to
see and use the Socialgist API before you proceed with a purchase. Socialgist provides a fully functional server version
of each Socialgist product for evaluation. What you’ll be using during your evaluation is not a full version API that you’ll
be getting when you finalize your purchasing agreement.

To generate an API license key, or extend your evaluation, simply log into Socialgist. From here, click on ‘New API
License’ and follow the instructions to associate your Server ID. A new API license will be generated that you enter into
your server product.

All installed evaluations include access to our technical support resources. API keys are for the highest user tier
available and are compatible across stand-alone product/apps user tiers and license types.

2. How do I extend my API trial period?

We’re happy to extend your API trial period for up to 90 days. To generate a new API key:

  • Login to socialgist.com. You’ll arrive on the Licenses page by default.
  • Click ‘New API License’ to create a new key with an additional 30 days evaluation time.
  • Apply this key to your server under the Administration > License Details page. your server product.

All installed evaluations include access to our technical support resources. API keys are for the highest user tier available and are compatible across stand-alone product/apps user tiers and license types.

3. How is an API distributed? Will I receive a CD-ROM or shrink-wrapped product?
